Helping Salleh, my superior in Pro Chaos Guilds messageboard resurrected my drive to write again. In this time, about the game I’ve been to for almost four years now.

The Memory of a Clover: Reminiscing Beta Days

I went to pRO Thor several minutes ago to just wander and observe. To experience the Thorian atmosphere and meets some friends, or perhaps enemies. I made a character there from scratch. Talked with the basic interface NPCs and gained some levels. While I’m doing this I can imagine what I’m doing almost four years ago.

Beta Days. The days where everything is alive. The time when the server is so congested with more than fourteen thousand people. As I killed some Lunatics and Fabres it dropped a clover, I can remember before how this tiny piece of leaf starts a pvp match, a customer complaining of looting and an in-game nagging. I smiled as I remember those days. But well, the only permanent in this world is indeed change.

By the time I logged in Thor, there are 74 people online. I went to Prontera, it was very unfamiliar. The main pavements are clean. No vendors at the center, no sidewalk vendors near Norby, no nothing. The only one I saw in the main road is Radeon, an Alchemist with his Lif. In Chaos, you can only talk to a character who was a status showing [PM Offers d2 me] and other things like that. A huge percentage is in afk-mode but there are still some patches of tiles that the players are talking, the guild tambayans. But here, everyone is talking spontaneously and lucky for me I was able to talk to a Novice like me, her name is Judy [iGN: help`me`lord]:

Despite the differences, I mean I’m an alien here and the welcome is so warm it touches the heart. And with the fact that Thor is experiencing difficulties right now, I believe it deserves to have a special attention. With all these well-mannered players.

For a second there, I feel so blessed I gained a friend across the miles, across the servers. And I hope the problem will be fixed soon. And may God bless these players whom seeked refuge on a new server.
