I’m a bit sleepy earlier but my eyes won’t close. So I watched the TV and looked for something that will make me more drowsy. But instead of making me drowsy, it was a reflective specific scene I can actually relate myself. It was an Asianovela entitled Green Forest.

Like other Asianovelas shown in QTV Channel 11, this is my first time to watch the said series. But well, it was filled with different emotion especially love and sacrifice.

Love

 I can remember how the driver of the guy named William said, “Sir, sa totoo lang pag pag-ibig ang pinaguusapan dun kayo tanga.” I can’t think of the possible reaction of that guy. But he accepted that fact, absorbed it as constructive criticism. Though we may not be stupid to do wrong things, we tend to slip into stupidity sometimes when it is about love. Well, love knows no boundaries and comprehensions. “Marami na rin nabaliw at nagsuicide dahil sa love.”

Sacrifice

I saw how Owen [another character in the story] is willing to sacrifice his hand for the sake of Sophie [the lead female]. No, she doesn’t need a hand transplant. Just some pathetic looking guy that I believe is Sophie’s brother dared him to dip his hand down the boiling chowder, in return the guy will tell the truth in public that he is not Sophie’s boyfriend. Crap. But Owen almost did it. He is willing to sacrifice his hand for the sake of someone he loves.

Ahh, Asianovelas. They are more heartwarming than kissing scenes and bedscenes of the other shore. Love your own, really.
