June 19 Siege: Definition of Disaster
Jun 20th, 2007 by SniperAngel

If there is one activity in game that is extremely exciting and rewarding, it must be the siege. Well, not tonight. Not even for Sparta.
As my guildmates gather up in Morroc, I was about to shop for Stat Foods in Prontera when suddenly my Priest got disconnected by the time he entered the portal going the the main city. Crap.
So I went back to log in my Biochemist in Morroc, a Novice said he is from Carnage told us all of their units are trapped in Prontera and we need to defend Leprion. Leprion is the agit closest to us because it was our home pre-merge so it should be easy. Not until another group message appeared on my messenger, more units trapped.
By the time we reached Leprion, it was a futile battle. Since some of my guildmates are stuck as well, we went to Britoniah with barely half of the guild members. Only to find out that Leprion was occupied by Genesis Rejects minutes later.
Not only that, if you think being trapped in Prontera is annoying; you should meet the unsung villains last night- the false warpers.
They make every warp dangerous, warping you to Prontera instead of an Agit Location. They menaced almost every bootcamp outside Prontera, in Morroc, Aldebaran, even Juno. What a low life. =_=
Few minutes later Jyolbringer, the mother agit of the faction succumbed to this disastrous system as well. Everything happened while coordinating with Shadmeister and reporting everything I see.
It was a waste really. I mean, why not just play fair. “Filipinos are crabs, normal na yan” said by one of the members in pRO-Baldur boards. Sad, but true. You can see swarms of opportunistic bacteria last night, loathing everything.
As the emperium disappeared to safety the damage takes its toll. Leprion and Jyolbringer were recovered by Godsmack, but the agit economies were destroyed.
We gave a message to GM Tristan and demanded a rollback because this siege is too, messy. And if actions won’t be taken, there is a good chance it will happen again.
Good evening GM T… In behalf of the alliance of the guilds Godsmack, Coalescense, Carnage, Eternal Breaker, Roughnecks, and Fatal Instinct, we would like to request a rollback of agit economy and ownership in Baldur. As admitted by the PRO technical team through a global announcement in-game, Prontera is down during siege times and characters in the map cannot connect to the game. Lag and frequents disconnections were problems as well. A huge population of our alliance are based in Prontera and as such, our main glory agits in Britoniah remained very thinly defended, and other guilds have taken advantage of this situation. It is our sincere hope that you understand our position and take the necessary actions. Thank you very much.Â
Ragnarok Online, is this the beginning of the end? Not yet, I hope.
