Lessons from Tuna

Caution: This is not a cooking blog entry. But rather some lessons in life. Lessons thru a fish? Yes of course.
By the time I was about to call it a day yesterday, I was able to watch Sine Totoo by GMA hosted by Howie Severino. The title is Sa-Tuna at Ginhawa, which is about a group of fishermen catching tuna in the Pacific Ocean. I never thought it is that hard to catch for one. It is so life threatening that every time the fishermen goes to the ocean, there is a chance that they won’t make it alive.
So what is the implication of the story? We tend to complain so much in life, like the oil price hike or the price increase of fishes like tuna on this case we don’t even think how they even get to the market. That every thing, like a fish on your plate has an equivalent sacrifice. It might be sweat, blood, or even life.

I don’t watch tv, so I don’t know what it is about tuna and tuna catchers. How hard is it?
But I do know lots of other factors may cause fish prices to go up.
If you were able to watch the movie The Perfect Storm, almost same scenario. But a bit more harsh and life threatening because ang liliit nung fishing vessels nila and they have to endure the high Pacific waves and thunderstorms just to catch fish.
