Work Ethics: Deviated even before absorption
Sep 29th, 2007 by SniperAngel

It was one exciting week for me as my exposure to the Emergency Room part 1 is finished. The duty was fun and the drama is there because I was able to meet different people from all walks of life and all kinds of real-life stories. It should be a rewarding experience aside from accomplishing my training checklist, but sometimes the problem is not the patient but your co-staff.
I told my mom why I’m so serious about this exposure. Because I want to work here, and I want to get that staff feeling. But one, if not some of my co-staffs are so-so alimasag. They tend to watch you on your success and by the time you are close to that pinnacle, they’ll just pull you down. Like my duty mate who grabs everything from the group [we're four] just to show off with the residents and staff. He even laughed at me when I was asked by the Clinical Nursing Assistant to take Vital Signs when I am the nurse and I’m in the higher position. Why? is being a CNA a degrading job? And is that a big issue already? So what if he’s a CNA?
The only negative feedback on my work is that I take it too seriously. I’m not even sure if it is really negative, I just don’t know how to smile often. But hey, I’ll be working on an odd reporting scheme tonight.
